Leader of the complex litigation division of Zegers, thanks to his skills as a litigator and negotiator and his 40 years of experience, Rodrigo Zegers has positioned himself in Chile as one of the few expert litigators in criminal matters, albeit with a multidisciplinary vision, having handled landmark cases of great relevance both nationally and internationally. In addition, he has represented the interests of his clients in civil and commercial arbitration matters and litigation related to bankruptcy and complex negotiations. He has also held the position of director of publicly traded companies.

Previously, he was a founding partner of Estudio Rivadeneira Colombara Zegers (RCZ) (2009-2022), and a lawyer at the State Defence Council (1983-1993), where he was entrusted with the defence of tax interests in complex criminal proceedings. In addition, he was a Public Prosecutor in the Superintendence of Health Insurance Companies (1994-1995) and worked as a lawyer in the “Rettig Commission” (1990-1991).

He has been repeatedly recognized by various international rankings, including in Chambers and Best Lawyers, where he was named Lawyer of the Year, Criminal Defense (2014).
